Travel experience to Toronto via Serbia
- I have started researching about this place since 16th May and I have mailed many authorities related to visas and some covid restrictions and had decided to book a flight on 28th June but unfortunately the fare price increase significantly ( Qatar airways )
- so I have postponed my plan.
- When I found the best deal I have booked everything in a day and Traveled the next day.
- India - Serbia ( Belgrade )
- I booked Lufthansa airline which had a layover at Frankfurt airport ( 5th June )
- As per the rule, you need an RT - PCR test and it should be valid for 48 hrs that's the only requirement which you have to fulfill if you are thinking to travel vie Serbia.
- Boarding and Immigration in India
- For me, it's really smooth like they haven't Asked me much more questions but don't worry it wouldn't be that much difficult which everyone thinking.
Now some Q & A
1) do Indian needs visa to Transit vie Germany
- No we are exempt because we are having a valid Canadian visa
2) is there any covid restriction in Germany
- Nope only condition is you have to stay on a transit visa
IMMIGRATION ( Serbia )
- Some basic questions and again everything went smoothly.
- Now I stayed in Serbia for two days 6th And 7th June ( explored the city and it's so beautiful and people in Serbia are really Awesome. )
- I did my covid test a day before my flight and I got my covid test report within 7-8 hrs.
Boarding procedures ( Belgrade - Canada )
- I booked a Turkish airline
- Again not many questions basic things but at Istanbul airport, they checked all the documents and asked me basic questions related to studies ( Don't travel in summer break they denied few students because of that )
- Now the last flight ( Istanbul to Toronto )
- When you would enter the airport there is a custom section and they would ask you some basics questions, as well as they, are checking all the mandatory requirements like 3 days hotel, 11 days Quarantine, Arrive can app, etc,
- Now after this you one officer from a health department would check all the documents related to covid 19.
- Now after clearing these two stages now you have to pass through immigration (don't afraid at all they would just ask some basic questions.
- And if you need extra time in your study permit then asked them they would give you 3-4 months extra. In my case I have already got 2 years visa but when I explained that I want to do an internship and all so please give me some more time so she gave me extra 4 months.
- Always remember that if you start some conversation with them then it would be much easier for you to pass through it. ( I asked many questions to them regarding on-campus, off-campus jobs, SIN number, etc..)
- After I got my study permit You have to register in switch health site for the Covid test ( create this account in advance I did the same )
- After the arrival test, they would give you one covid kit and you have to do that test after 8 days.
- So, Overall it's a great experience and I have learned many things and built that confidence throughout this journey. It's been more than a month and I am planning to Travel To Canada vie third country. I believe many of you knowing me because I have created multiple separate groups for different routes Like Maldives, Ethiopia, Mexico, Serbia. I have explored many countries but every time because of the rush the Flight fare are increasing significantly so Apart from these countries you can travel vie new route 😂 not many people would know about that place ( Albania )
- Talking about the total costs than for me India to Canada ( 90,000 rs ( maximum )
- 3 days hotel stop over = 850 cad
- 11 days quarantine = 450 cad + food
