Traveling experience MUMBAI – ETHIOPIA- CANADA 

• I had booked Qatar airlines from Mumbai to Addis Ababa with 14 hours of layover at Doha 

• Gate no 2 checked in with 3 bags (23kg@ 1, 25kg@ 

•  I carried 10KG FOR CABIN (They didn’t check my cabin bag weight) Lucky me. 

•  Had to wear a PPE kit if your seat is in middle. 

•  Qatar food was brilliant and excellent service with 1 hour on board complimentary WIFI too June 6 Doha – 

•  I was at quite rooms which has recliner seats to sleep B-4 (ALMOST at end of B lane) 

• Each boarding pass will have 30 Riyal, redeem at food court 

•  Search for Qatar cafe they OFFER 1 USD dollar for 1 water bottle, cheapest in whole airport June 7 Addis Ababa- 

•  Reached late around 11:30 pm, took 2 hours in queue with locals to clear immigration Bus was already waiting outside airport. 

•  I was at Best western pearl Addis for 3 nights (11500 INR)  Breakfast is very nice must try Ethiopian 

•  Don’t rush for covid test directly from airport chances of getting false positive is high directly go to hotel, take shower & good long steam for 15 to 20 mins before getting tested for covid 

•  I tested myself early morning on 7th June around 10 pm at Washington medical center 

•  Opted for 30 USD to get results on 24 hours from the sample taken 

•  Went to OM Indian bistro restaurant for lunch, food was so amazing, pani puri, sev puri, samosa, Habesha beer, dal kichadi, jeer rice. (open’s at 11 am to evening 9 pm)

•  Order from restaurant to hotel for dinner, better to not go out after 6 pm in Addis Ababa market area. June 8 Addis Ababa 

•  Went to collect my reports next morning by 10:00 morning. One of my friend tested false Positive, right after we rushed to wudassie lab, after 6 hours got negative results. Finally 

•  Visit Edna mall to buy souvenir of Ethiopia June 9 Addis Ababa Check out by 12:00 pm. Immigration was smooth and very friendly officers at Bole Airport 

• 1 hr. stop at Dublin (fueling and technical problem) June 10 Toronto 8:10 am landing time, took 4 hours to clear Canada immigration Smooth process, after getting study permit, went for covid test, Got my results in 10 hrs., 

• enjoying 3 days Quarantine
